Rules on Numbers of Presentations
Each registrant is encouraged to present, as primary author, one oral contribution or one poster contribution. Registrants are welcomed as co-authors on additional presentations if another author serves as the presenter.
Those individuals interested in making more than one oral and/or poster presentation should contact the Chair of the Program Committee, Clark Ovrebo, and provide him with information on the additional presentations that might fit into the program, should space allow. In the event that the number of oral or poster presentations does not reach the maximum limit, every effort will be made to accommodate individuals requesting more than one oral/poster presentation.
Regular oral presentations are 15 minutes long (12 minute-talk and 3 minutes for questions). Symposium presentations are 30 minutes (25 minute-talk and 5 minutes for questions).
Oral presentations must be created in Microsoft PowerPoint. PC computers running Microsoft Office 2010 will be provided. If you want to use your own PC or Mac because of complicated movies or other factors, please let the session organizer know before the start of the session, and be prepared to change computers on the fly (a mini DisplayPort (mDP) to VGA/DVI/HDMI converter will be provided). If you are using the provided PC, please load your presentation before the session or during the break using either a USB flash drive or CD-ROM. You are advised to bring your own laser pointer/slide remote.
Posters will be displayed on free-standing, fabric-covered, 2-sided room dividers. Posters should be a maximum of 42 inches wide and 42 inches high. Means of attachment will be provided.
Posters will be only be on display during one day of the meeting, Tuesday, July 18. Posters can be put up beginning at 7:00 am that same morning. There will be two poster sessions on Tuesday evening, session 1 from 4:30-6:00 pm and session 2 from 6:00-7:30 pm. Each presenter (or a co-author) should be present at their poster during their assigned session to answer questions. Each space will be marked with the abstract number/code assigned to that poster. Posters must be removed at the end of the viewing session.
