Abstract Submissions - 2023 MSA Annual Meeting: Elevating Mycology

The abstract submission site is now open for the 2023 Mycological Society of America annual meeting, scheduled for July 29 – August 3 in Flagstaff, Arizona, with the theme of “Elevating Mycology“.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is March 31, 2023!

Submit Abstract

We are planning a dynamic and inclusive MSA meeting. We are planning to stream key sessions, such as the presidential address, Karling lecture, business meeting, and certain symposia and oral presentations.  This content will be available to both in-person and virtual attendees. Details will follow when our registration portal goes live. Please check our meeting home page for updates.

Session delivery: All oral sessions are planned for in person delivery ( but special arrangements to present remotely via a prerecorded talk may be possible in some cases). Poster presentations are designed for in-person delivery.

Session recording: We request that oral presenters consent to have their sessions recorded if possible in order to make a subset of presentations available via the web to registered MSA 2023 attendees. 

Abstract Format: Abstracts will be submitted through the Oxford Abstracts System according to a designated format. Please review abstract requirements before the deadline to ensure complete submission on time. The submission system also contains an example abstract . Please note that abstracts that DO NOT complete all essential fields may be returned for editing or rejected at the discretion of the MSA 2023 Program Chair. 

Oral Presentation vs. Poster: Abstract authors should select whether they would like to present in an oral session or poster session. The program committee will attempt to accommodate as many oral session requests as possible (but please be aware that oral speaking spots are limited). Students and postdocs who would like to be eligible for presentation awards should indicate their status on the submission form.
