As a Food Production Process Supervisor at MushFoods, you will join and advance our research journey to develop mushroom-based protein ingredients. Your expertise will be essential in driving our mission to replace 50% of meat in meals while retaining taste and nutritional value. You will have the opportunity to work independently on a range of research activities, including the development of new products and aligning product concepts and requirements with the product portfolio strategy. Your contributions as a Food Production Process Supervisor will be vital in advancing our mission to continue producing delicious and nutritious mushroom-based protein ingredients.
Job Requirements
- Develop new protein food ingredients from fungi mycelium.
- Take responsibility over the production line, managing a production operator.
- Manage the technological food ingredient development process, considering nutritional, regulatory, sensory, quality, and production requirements.
- Identify and address potential risks, implement food safety protocols, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Optimize protein processing techniques and production methods to improve efficiency, quality, shelf life, and safety.
- Coordinate kitchen, pilot plant, and factory trials.
- Research and implement formulation techniques for stabilizing compounds.
- Maintain accurate records of product formulations, process parameters, and test results.
- Work with chefs on new applicative products in the meat & poultry market
Required Qualifications
- B.A. in mechanical engineering, food science, biology, biochemistry, materials science, biological or chemical engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the food production industry (product development, food processing, or protein manufacturing technologies).
- Good understating of production methods, operating a production line.
- Knowledge of food regulations and industry standards.
