North Carolina State University seeks to hire a fungal or oomycete biologist working in the area of emerging infectious plant disease. We are interested in solution-driven scholars who can build a collaborative, interdisciplinary research program, provide key leadership in the area of emerging plant diseases, and foster an environment that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion at NCSU. All areas will be considered, but we are particularly interested in researchers focusing on population genomics to track outbreak strains, understand disease sources and centers of origin, and develop rapid response strategies to limit damage from emerging threats.
