Research Technician/Field and Lab Manager at UNC - Chapel Hill

Position description

The Mitchell ecology lab at UNC – Chapel Hill is looking for a full-time (and full benefits, e.g. health insurance) Research Technician / Field and Lab Manager to work on disease ecology and transmission of fungal plant pathogens, including microbial species interactions and influences of climate variation. Experience in this specific area of research is not required. The successful applicant will work in close collaboration with a dynamic and diverse group of researchers. They will be supported in developing and achieving their long-term career goals, whatever those may be.

Qualifications

Experience in biological field research (sampling organisms or their environment in the field) and in lab research (DNA extraction and PCR).

Salary

$36,620 – $38,363/year, plus full benefits
