Eli Cytrynbaum is a fourth year doctoral student in the laboratory of Megan McClean at University of Wisconsin Madison. Eli is investigating the role and regulation of transitions between biofilm and planktonic states in Candida albicans pathogenesis and commensalism. Eli has a broad array of scientific interests and has previously studied morphologic diversity and evolution in fish bone development, mathematical modeling and random matrix theory, and the epigenetic underpinnings of liposarcoma, and they’re always open to interdisciplinary collaborations. In their free time, Eli likes gardening, exploring, and playing chess with their little brother.
