McKinley Nevins
L. McKinley Nevins (she/her) is a PhD Candidate in Plant Biology at Washington State University. Her research focuses on elucidating how tree and mycorrhizal fungal communities respond to environmental stress and disturbance in temperate forests in the Northwestern United States. The long-term goal of her research is to increase understanding of how above- and belowground forest communities will persist under novel climate conditions in the future. In her free time, McKinley enjoys camping, keeping an ever-growing collection of house plants, and tending to two plots in her local community garden.

The purpose of the Society is to promote and advance the science of mycology and to foster and encourage research and education in mycology in all its aspects. Members of the MSA meet annually to exchange information and build understanding of fungi
